Sura 7 - Ayat 199

خُذِ #ٱلْعَفْوَ وَأْمُرْ بِٱلْعُرْفِ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ

Keep to forgiveness (O Muhammad), and enjoin kindness, and turn away from the ignorant.

Sura 2 - Ayat 237

وَإِن طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَمَسُّوهُنَّ وَقَدْ فَرَضْتُمْ لَهُنَّ فَرِيضَةً فَنِصْفُ مَا فَرَضْتُمْ إِلَّآ أَن #يَعْفُونَ أَوْ #يَعْفُوَا۟ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِۦ عُقْدَةُ ٱلنِّكَاحِ ۚ وَأَن #تَعْفُوٓا۟ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ ۚ وَلَا تَنسَوُا۟ ٱلْفَضْلَ بَيْنَكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

If ye divorce them before ye have touched them and ye have appointed unto them a portion, then (pay the) half of that which ye appointed, unless they (the women) agree to forgo it, or he agreeth to forgo it in whose hand is the marriage tie. To forgo is nearer to piety. And forget not kindness among yourselves. Allah is Seer of what ye do.

Sura 3 - Ayat 134

ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ فِى ٱلسَّرَّآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ وَٱلْكَٰظِمِينَ ٱلْغَيْظَ و َ#الْعَافِينَ عَنِ ٱلنَّاسِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Those who spend (of that which Allah hath given them) in ease and in adversity, those who control their wrath and are forgiving toward mankind; Allah loveth the good;

Sura 4 - Ayat 99

فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ عَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن #يَعْفُوَ عَنْهُمْ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ #عَفُوًّا غَفُورًا

As for such, it may be that Allah will pardon them. Allah is ever Clement, Forgiving.

Sura 64 - Ayat 14

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُمْ وَأَوْلَٰدِكُمْ عَدُوًّا لَّكُمْ فَٱحْذَرُوهُمْ ۚ وَإِن #تَعْفُوا۟ وَتَصْفَحُوا۟ وَتَغْفِرُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

O ye who believe! Lo! among your wives and your children there are enemies for you, therefor beware of them. And if ye efface and overlook and forgive, then lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

hadith


2ـ رَسُولُ اللهِ‏ِ صَلَّیَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَآلِهِ: إنَّ اللهَ عَفُوٌّ يُحِبُّ العَفوَ.

2– The Prophet (SAWA) said, ‘Verily Allah is all-pardoning and loves pardon.’ [Kanz al-`Ummal, no. 7005] 

الإمامُ عليٌّ عَلَيهِ السَّلامُ: إذا قَدَرتَ عَلى عَدُوِّكَ فَاجعَلِ العَفوَ عَنهُ شُكراً لِلقُدرَةِ عَلَيهِ .

11– Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘When you are empowered to vanquish your enemy, let your pardon of him act as thanks for having been given power over him.’ [Nahj al-Balagha, Saying 11] 

ـ رَسُولُ اللهِ‏ِ صَلَّیَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَآلِهِ: عَلَيكُم بِالعَفوِ؛ فَإنَّ العَفوَ لا يَزيدُ العَبدَ إلّا عِزّاً، فَتَعافَوا يُعِزَّكُمُ اللهُ‏ُ.

3– The Prophet (SAWA) said, ‘Pardoning is incumbent upon you, for verily pardoning [others] only increases the servant’ s honour, so pardon each other’ s faults and Allah will grant you honour.’ [al-Kafi, v. 2, p. 108, no. 5] 

الإمامُ عليٌّ عَلَيهِ السَّلامُ: العَفوُ زَكاةُ الظَّفَرِ .

12– Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Pardon is the zakat of triumph.’ [Nahj al-Balagha, Saying 211]

Dua


رَسُولُ اللهِ‏ِ صَلَّیَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَآلِهِ ـ لَمّا سَألَتهُ عائشَةُ عَنِ الدُّعاءِ في لَيلَةِ القَدرِ ـ: تَقُولينَ: اللّهُمَّ إنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ العَفوَ، فَاعفُ عَنّي .

18– The Prophet (SAWA), when `Aa’ isha asked him about what to supplicate on the grand Night of Ordainment (laylat al-qadr), replied, ‘You should say O Allah verily you are all-pardoning and You love to pardon, so pardon me.’ [Sunan Ibn Maaja, no. 3850] 

22ـ الإمامُ عليٌّ عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ: اَللّهُمَّ احَمِلني عَلَى عَفوِكَ ولا تَحمِلْني عَلى عَدِلكَ.

22– Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘O Allah expose me to Your pardon but do not expose me to Your justice.’ [Nahj al-Balagha, Sermon 227]
